An international shipping company has hundreds of vessels and thousands of crew members that need to be scheduled and coordinated. There are multiple parties involved in the process; crew members, management, third party logistics, and third party travel agents. All participants are spread across the globe, in different countries, and in different time zones. And of course, the schedule is always changing.

Old Process:

Prior to SecureSheet™, a spreadsheet was kept that had the schedule and was emailed to various parties. Any time a change occurred in the schedule, emails would be sent back and forth between all the different participants. These emails could number in the hundreds on a daily basis. As more vessels and crews were added, the manual effort involved in managing the process intensified.

New Process:

Now, with SecureSheet™, they have set up a web based schedule that includes all the information required by all the different parties. Anytime the schedule changes, the entire SecureSheet™ recalculates the information in real-time (using standard Excel formulas), and everyone is aware of the changes with color coded statuses. Users are limited to information they need to see, and the SecureSheet™ is smart enough to show data (dates, etc…) in the format of the country where the user is logging in from.
